In 2006, the Correa Group made a strategic move into the Chinese market by establishing a subsidiary in the city of Kunming. Today, Correa Kunming has grown into a large 20,000 m² industrial plant and employs a team of 90 highly qualified professionals, manufacturing milling machines specifically tailored to the needs of the Chinese market.
To mark its 20th anniversary, a series of commemorative events were held at the Kunming facilities, attended by our CEO Carmen Pinto, Walson Zheng, Managing Director of Correa Kunming and founder of Smartech, and John Chen, also co-owner of Smartech, a partner company of the subsidiary since its very beginning.
During the events, awards were presented to the employees with the longest service at the company, a well-deserved recognition for those who have been part of this project from the start.
